Cena, Punk, Rock Among Favorites to Win Men’s Rumble

January 29, 2025

This year marks the 38th edition of the men’s Royal Rumble match, which means one lucky competitor will win the opportunity to compete for a WWE or World Championship at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. While the past two years have been somewhat predictable with Cody Rhodes as the front-runner, this year is anyone's game. Let’s take a look at some of the favorites heading into the big night. Check out the full odds on BetOnline.

Seth Rollins -150
Currently leading the pack is Seth “Freakin’” Rollins, who is six years removed from his lone Royal Rumble victory in 2019. Rollins and Punk seemingly settled their score with their main event match on the debut episode of the RAW Netflix era, so this could be the perfect time for Rollins to pivot back into the World Heavyweight Title picture. Fans have been clamoring to see Gunther vs. The Visionary in a singles contest for the Championship, and what better place to do it than at WrestleMania!

John Cena +150
You’ve got to give the people what they want. The Eras Tour is over, and it’s now all about the John Cena Farewell Tour. What better way for the 16-time champ to go out than with his third Royal Rumble victory, earning a Championship opportunity at WrestleMania? He’s already declared for the Rumble, for the last time, and winning could set him up for a shot at breaking Ric Flair’s record of 16 World Championship victories. The last time is now.

CM Punk +300
The Second City Saint was injured in last year’s Royal Rumble and has spent a considerable amount of time on the shelf since his return to the squared circle in 2021. Now healthy, he’s ready to run the table and could do so as he looks to win the first Rumble of his career. Can he win the match he walked out on 11 years ago?

The Rock +500
While it’s a long shot, seeing The Great One as the last competitor in the ring and pointing to the WrestleMania sign would be an intriguing sight. It could set up The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania, with vengeance on the Final Boss’ mind. Sprinkle some bets here if you smelllllll what The Rock is cooking.

Roman Reigns +1200
The Tribal Chief hasn’t appeared in a Royal Rumble match since 2020, mainly because he was the WWE Universal Champion and otherwise occupied with a match. We’ve seen competitors use their Royal Rumble victory to challenge Roman Reigns, but none have been successful—until Cody Rhodes finally "finished the story" at WrestleMania 40. Could it be Reigns’ turn to once again chase for the title? Could this mark the start of his road to WrestleMania as he looks to reclaim his seat at the Head of the Table?
